The redevelopment seeks to keep as much as possible the buildings' own peculiarities unaltered, reducing to a minimum the external interventions and those that may substantially alter their volumetry. The dwelling, carved out of the spaces of the current warehouse, faces Contrada Veronese and, together with another small residential building flanked on the same parcel, contributes to the strengthening of the pedestrian street. Only minor interior work and exterior maintenance was planned for the former water purifier building to make it suitable for use as a municipal warehouse; all warehouse-related functions are served by the rear access along the railway. The core road, which is devoid of traffic, can thus be enhanced with new paving and made pedestrian-friendly up to the entrance of the road to the upper part: a new space with public openings is thus created that serves as an access atrium to the Veronese Contrada and to the whole village.
