The central idea of the project is the creation of a new urban block where the two main actors, the existing villa and the new home for elderly, enhance each other thanks to the new definition of the park placed between them. The site is completed by the small church to the north and the new annex to the south, which in turn are integrated into the project and contribute to different perception of the limits of the central void. The new building scale integrates with the surrounding neighborhood villas, the relationship with the nearby urban axis is immediate, and the building is really compact. The typological layout with central service core rationalizes the internal spaces and paths. Common areas are positioned at opposite corners: a more contemplative one toward the park and mountains and a more urban one toward the city.
