The project involves the redevelopment of two adjoining houses in such a way as to enable their rational and contemporary use as living and working places. The two houses are located close to Contrada Veronese, an ancient crossing route through the core: an attempt was made to reinforce this pre-existence by placing the two entrances along this route. The project aims to create a link with the other interventions along this Contrada, which was once used mainly for stables and storage and later became residential like the rest of the core. The current renovation seeks to maintain both the residential character of the buildings and the appearance of the workshop in contact with the courtyard. Both building peculiarities are enhanced to make them homogeneous with the village structure but, at the same time, to give them their own specificity.
