The location and shape of the volume are related to the land morphology and the neighboring houses, particularly the one to the south owned by the same family. Based on this intention, it was decided to incorporate the new building into the geometry of the existing house to create a unified whole surrounded by a single large garden. A single couryard serves as a unifying element between the two buildings, as does the choice to use materials that echo those of the existing building. On the ground floor two large windows open the kitchen and living room to the surrounding landscape of vineyards and to a large terrace that distances the house from the access street. On the first floor, openings are rotated 90 degrees from the ground floor to enjoy the view of the lake; inside, a corridor connects the various rooms and a skylight opens the view to the mountains.
