The renovation work mainly concerns the interior renovation of the bank agency, which is located on the ground floor, and the extraordinary maintenance of the building facade.
The building, which has been modified several times, is divided into three successively constructed volumes. It represents a significant presence for Riva San Vitale: because of its location, at the entrance to the core towards the east, and because of its social value as a former kindergarten. It was decided to move the main access, facing the busy road, to a pedestrian widening that will form, with the planned plans for the adjacent shopping center, a path from the plain to the lake. This gesture is emphasized by a new element, an exposed concrete canopy, detached from the volume of the villa, marking the new entrance. The interior space is in line with the new consultant bank concept and the existing structural conditions. Following the spirit promoted by the bank, a local material handcrafted in the village and used in all historical constructions was enhanced: terracotta tiles. This material lends a distinctive atmosphere and warmth to all rooms.
